Flying is the Love of My Life
Quote from ArcherLover on 11/06/2025, 4:03 pmG'day everyone.
My first log book entry is March 26, 1966. I was 19 years old. The place - Latrobe Valley Airfield located between Traralgon and Morwell in Victoria, Australia. The plane - Mike Oscar Alpha, an Australian designed and built Victa Airtourer, one of the first few off the production line. My flight instructor was an amiable potato farmer who instructed part time.
I have flown Cessnas, Cherokees, Citabrias, Decathlons, Pitts S2 and S1, and Piper Archers.
My focus in the 1980s was on competition aerobatics. At age 60 I got my instrument rating.
I'm an old-timer who loves flying, including sim flying which is invaluable for flight planning and practicing IFR approaches.
Flying is still the love of my life - second only to family, of course.
